Beef Bourguignon by Julia Child

It was Julia Child who started the Beef Bourguignon revival in the Seventies-- and forty years later, she's still doing it!

But did you know that there's more than one Julia Child Boeuf Bourguignon recipe?

There's the one from Mastering the Art of French Cooking, and the one from From Julia Child's Kitchen -- one of my favorite cookbooks -- and probably others, as Julia was constantly testing and learning.

You will find both recipes at the following links. They are PDF documents and will open in a new window:
It was Julia Child, through her books, who inspired me to surpass myself when I was just starting to experiment in the kitchen.

Who would have ever thought that I would be making puff pastry and turning it into a Pithiviers cake or a salmon coulibiac, when my mother's pie crusts were the butt of my father's jokes?

Now I can make puff pastry at the drop of a hat, because I know that I can do it. It's all a matter of self-confidence, and the more you cook, the more you acquire it.

So... get cooking!
